Warrior snubs Hall of Fame nomination

February 24th 2010 16:36
Seemingly the single best thing that The Ultimate Warrior will ever do, the snub by Warrior will now see Stu Hart inducted into the 2010 Hall of Fame class and I would now assume we have seen the last of the Ultimate Warriors name being mentioned around the WWE halls. The single craziest person that has ever entered the wrestling business, and there has been a few nutjobs that have carved a career as a wrestler, but Warrior manages to make them look like a very sane competitor. Since his days of being a wrestler Warrior has managed to make an art form of sitting behind a computer screen and writing about things, people, and events even mocking the deaths of people. When I read his bloig about the passing of Heath Ledger I just shook my head in disbelief I mean I know Warrior has made a life of being a twit, but this was a moment I wish I would have never seen.

But it was not just Ledger that would get the Warrior treatment in that blog, his dis-stain for Hulk Hogan was ever present. Now I have not read a Warrior blog since then, I hope never to, but I have read past blogs he has made and shook my head at them but that is his right to be a a screwball. And now we are never going to see this nut in the WWE Hall of Fame, I hope that the WWE will pass over Warriors name and see him for the wasted career he was.

I often think about Rick Rude, Curt Hennig, and Owen Hart guys that were better in the ring, better on the microphone, and just all round better than Warrior were never given the chance to hold the WWF Title. Rick Rude even carried Warrior, I am surprised by the end of their feud he was still able to walk carrying Warrior for so long. Imagine Hennig and Hart for the WWF Title, both men would meet in matches during their WWF tenure, King of the Ring immediately springs to mind when Bret Hart

As for Owen Hart, I think of the showing of Bret Hart and Owen at Wrestlemania 10 the night Yokozuna wrestled Bret Hart and Lex Luger, Luger lost because, he shot off his mouth while drunk, he was meant to win the title that night from Yokozuna. Bret later won the belt, after a good match against his brother, imagine a title match between the two? Now, it's a distance memory but it stands to reason why Warrior's rantings, and his snub, even though I am happy for that makes him a bigger clown.

Rick Rude sadly broke his neck and was unable to ever really able to make that transition from Intercontinental Champion to WWF Champion, but I doubt he ever would have been a WWF Champion at all, and it has nothing to do with ability, just he was there at the wrong time in life.

When WCW decided to redo the Wrestlemania 6 match at Halloween Havoc I laughed, I really thought this was going to end badly, and believe me it did end badly, Warrior even injured himself the month before at Fall Brawl on the trap door in the double ring. Thankfully that was enough to see this nutball vanish from WCW and any type of wrestling since...well the poor ROH fans had ti suffer Warrior as "not a gimmick" I am sorry Jim, unless you arrive as Jim Hellwig you are forever just a gimmick, a parody of a WWF superstar that was one loved by fans, and now most try to forget you ever existed.

Yep, here I am writing about Warrior snubbing a Hall of Fame induction, and at the same time I am happy that Stu Hart is being inducted, I look forward to seeing Owen Hart inducted, I believe the whole family needs their own wing in the Hall of Fame, even though Owen was never able to live up to his full potential with his pre-mature death he does deserve to be there,

Because Owen was a one of a kind type of guy, an upstanding guy that left behind two young kids, and a wife who even wrote a book, and has to raise their children alone. Amazingly his life appeared to be worth at the time $40. That's pre-lawsuit but the clip that was meant to keep him safe was only worth $40 and it wasn't even the right clip for the harness.

Before he would do this gimmick though Owen Hart like his brother in laws Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart and "The British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith both asked and got their WWF Releases after Bret Hart left for WCW, of course Jim was put through the DX attack, and Bret Hart midget impersonation before he left the company, but both were granted their releases, but Owen, was not.

But I will post a full blog on Owen Hart in the near future, being one of my favourite workers from the WWF along with his brother the point stands that he should one day be inducted alongside his brother, and father, and possibly in the future both brother in laws as well. I do hope never to see Warrior in there though.

Because I don't believe he will ever truly deserve it.
