This Sunday TNA returns to PPV with Against All Odds, Australian TNA fans can watch the event live and only on Main Event 12pm Monday, with the 30 minute pre-show event before that. Samoa Joe cashed in his Feast or Fired case this past week on Impact and will face The Phenomenal Nature Boy AJ Styles for the bett. The Nasty Boys are also in action facing Team 3D in a match most people are not going to be watching for that long nor would they remember it as a clash that saw some great chain wrestling.
The finals of the 8 Card Stud Tournament, with Mr. Anderson, Hernandez, Desmond Wolfe, Kurt Angle already qualified for the tournament, the final places will be filled this Thursday on Impact, and so will the final card. The winner of the tournament will have his chance at facing the TNA World Champion whoever that may be at Lockdown, this is where the road to Lockdown starts, the cage returns, but is it the six sides, or four sides of steel?
Will Hogan be a factor in who heads to Lockdown to face the companies World Champion? Will this also be the last shot Angle gets at facing Styles? OR will Hogan's chosen Champion Miiiiiiiiiister Anderson, Anderson walk away with his first chance at World Championship gold? With Hardy and Moore headed to the impact zone to further their careers we could see anything and everything this year at Against All Odds.
Now we are going to enter my random world of comments, I will post my thoughts on Against All Odds after the event, as well as write my predictions for the show.
Random Thoughts Heading to Against All Odds
Hardy and Moore are indeed heading to TNA I wonder if this would mean that one, or both will be at the TNA PPV as a surprise. Imagine if Hardy showed up at Against All Odds and attacked someone and cost them their chance at a title, I would like it if he either showed up during the 8 Card Stud match and cost the eventual winner who I am going to go out on a limb and say it will either be Angle, Wolfe, or Anderson. I would like to think I could predict an Anderson win, or at least Jeff Hardy coming out and costing him the match giving someone else the win, or being an extra participant in the match with someone "bowing out"
Ken Anderson does appear to be the new "Chosen One" replacing Jeff jarrett who was the WCW "Chosen One" back in 1999 when he made his shock return to WCW. Anderson has been going around saying how Hogan rates him highly well I can see there being a decent program to work with this, are TNA up to that?
I would expect there would be some kind of X Divsion Match either a contenders match, which would probably see the debut in the ring for Moore who would maybe face Red, Homicide, Shelley, Sabin, Suicide and Kendrick as well maybe even the team of Max and Jeremy from Generation ME. Just a match I'd like to see personally, imagine that it could be an Ultimate X Style match, with Destination X coming up and TNA looking to shift the focus to an X Division PPV for that PPV it could be a good way to enter into that idea.
We have some way to go though, I would assume Angelina and Velvet Skye will have their match there or at some point over the next few weeks to keep that going, what if we had a new Beautiful People stable lead by Angelina and at Lockdown throw them all in a cage almost like a past War Games style team event.
Styles Joe is going to be interesting to see how TNA are going to use Flair and if they are going to fully go with "vintage" (Who let Cole in here?) Sting with the dropping down and attacking, Flair says he will be wrestling matches in TNA at some point, Sting will "return" at some point, it depends on Bischoff and Hogan since both are mad at Sting for his lack of an appearance at Genesis.
But anyway, Styles should win the match, whether or not they are going to add an angle on it with either a Hardy return to the company again since Jan, or have someone else show up TNA are apparently chasing other guys so we could see almost anyone. Though I do not expect to see an appearance by RVD, since he was keen to talk business about a deal, but I doubt any debut for him.
TNA needs to start using Raven and Stevie again, looking at the Abyss/Foley vs Bischoff thing why not have someone that knows Foley and Abyss the best then having Stevie and Raven battling them in a grueling ECW type brawl. A shocker would be a shock appearance by Tommy Dreamer coming in, and looking to attack Raven, but out of nowhere he attacks Foley he canes the hell out of Foley, Raven and Stevie can beat down Abyss until he is a bloodied mess Eric can come out and show his pleasure in this by laughing at the misfortunes of Anyss and Foley and announce that this was his plan all along.
That he knew the best way to get Foley was to get the people that knew him the best back into TNA to beat him down, and Dr. Stevie helped the plan, if not Dreamer you could throw in Al Snow, the guy that he mocked a bit in his book and stuff, after all Al's onky appearance in TNA was to attack Foley anyway, why not have him there again to finish him off "for good"?
There could be some interesting things happen at this PPV, I am keen to see how TNA are going to book this PPV. I have not read the spoilers so whatever happens will come as a surprise as far as impact goes this week, seeing the final card is my first interest to see how TNA are going to fill the card out.
One this happens I will have my own thoughts on the PPV and predictions.
