The loose Cannon....Brian Kendrick?

February 10th 2010 14:05
There has been no many instances that I have ever wanted to see one wrestler copy another, past or present with a gimmick but for reasons I cannot quite explain I want to see Brian Kendrick as "The Loose Cannon" Brian Kendrick. I think that he has the charisma, and the talent to pull off a new Brian Pillman. I think that before he was released from the WWE they were building him towards being close to this, but not quite.

Now that TNA appears to have Kendrick, he's arrogant, and he appears to be a heel from the two appearances he has had with TNA, so TNA could try and push him as someone that will do whatever he wants, whenever he wants and will snap as a moments notice.

Ken Anderson is already the massively cocky heel and he is already making the fans hate him, in a very Jeff Jarrett early return style when he was the "Chosen One" which is anyone can pull off being the chosen one in TNA, aside from Jarrett I reckon Ken Anderson can,and does do this well. TNA could almost bring in London to feud with Kendrick as well, WWE had hinted a feud between the two for weeks, and then when they went to split the duo, they just magically forgot it happened.

The slower way to bring in London is as a tag partner for Kendrick again and then have the betrayal, London the face, Kendrick the uber heel that hates the whole X Division, hates the fact that he is being saddled with London again, and just pissed off. Though I guess TNA could use someone else as his tag partner and have them turn on each other.

Whatever TNA could decide there, they have a fair bit to work with, Kendrick already alienated the Motor City Machineguns by making sure that he would get the pin and not have them carry him. I just would like to see TNA take a guy that could have been something bigger and better in WWE if he conformed to a few policies there and stuff and make him into their own star.

I do think there are a few Pillman like qualities that Kendrick has, I think it's getting more and more clear the last such incident was all his backstage antics in the WWE and then his admission he did all of that to piss off the boss, a very Pillman-esque type quality indeed. "The" Brian Kendrick in WWE I thought this was going to be the stat of that, start of the whole line of doing as he pleases, when he pleases, where he pleases and to whom he pleases but then the de-push started and then the end of that and then he was released which further ended that.

Now TNA has the chance, they can do this if they are paying attention, you need yourself a bit of a loose cannon, and I have always liked Kendrick even though he has never really been high on the WWE's radar of possible future stars. Which I am not sure if TNA are going to use him, or lose him. It seems that maybe he will be lost in that TNA roster re-shuffle and may never be seen again may end up in Japan working for evermore unless TNA has a clue.

Let's face it they have Russo pretending he knows what he is doing, you have Hogan who is in love with himself. He thinks he's the legend that can make TNA the greatest, his ego will take over and brother he will run wild on TNA, brother. I have no real confidence in Eric Bischoff, or Ed Ferrera, or this other guy that has recently come along that may think he is the future Russo. How scary would that be? Yeah I have no idea if he will or if Russo is hands on with the guy, but I do hope Russo doesn't try and pass along his knowledge, well you know it will be a short session unless he thinks it up on the run, it's not beyond him, WCW booked on the fly for years. Sure it failed miserably but the point is....he can do it.

Where was I? Oh right, Kendrick, loose cannon, make it so TNA, or at least give him something cool to do. When I say cool I don't mean dress him up as a mascot for every NFL franchise and have him job for a year, oh damn did I just book TNA for them? Ah that's going to hurt Kendrick now. I am just kidding, you know, finishing with a bit of humour.

That's the difference between me and Russo, he's paid to be a bad writer, no one's paying me to be a bad comedian.
