Destination X: Post PPV Thoughts

So let's start with the main event before we go onto anything about the PPV and I have to say the match was not as bad as I had maybe first anticipated, but the way they managed to screw up the whole thing, and have a close to very bullshit ending made me cringe. At least Abyss was not given the title from just chokeslamming AJ Styles through the ring and not actually getting a pin. Hogan attempting to give the title to Abyss made me think that TNA was going to turn the wrong corner there, anyway before we celebrate this idea, Hebner managed to take the title back and now we can all sleep well at night.

Even though there was a Jeff Hardy lookalike at the ringside area Hardy didn't make an appearance on screen, Wolfe did and managed to get maced, yes, that's right he was sprayed by mace, as was Flair and the referee who over sold this and let out a scream that would leave your blood running cold. There was a fan that TNA focused on during their roaming of the rtingside area, and while the fan was acting like a tool, he was not our plant for this evening. Relax Harley.

As expected the Ladder Match and Ultimate X did not disappoint, Rob Terry and the new Magnus (Mmm Magnum what? Oh right.) was a dud squash, I guess after 20 odd minutes of the Ladder match TNA thought no one cared about this match, which is kinda true, except no one cared before the PPV and even after the PPV still no one cares, but hey, Brutus is just a Magnus now, so someone decided no one likes wrestling Gladiators.

TNA's ladders still do not look wrestler friendly, I think I would rather land back first on barbed wire then this ladder that TNA has, but pumps a plenty was in this match, and spots here and there, hell it was what X Division wrestling is, awesome. this is where WCW had it up on the WWE they used to have these matches, they would get the crowd in the mood for the PPV and then we'd have our PPV.

The Knockouts match wasn't bad either, again give me this match over Terry and Magnus, seriously, anyway, Williams and Moore could have been better, maybe they could have been thrown into the ladder match and have made the match for the X Division Title rather then the contendership. but the match was ok, just the match was a bit lackluster, maybe in time Williams and Moore can make a better match but you know it could have been worse.

The Wolfpac reformed, like we did not see this coming, it was expected to see the duo of Syxx-Pac (are we calling him this, this week, or are we going to call him Waltman? X-Pac? No one seems to know...) and now that we saw Eric Young turned into roadkill (no not an angry Amish chicken plucker....) they spray painted the ring and we had to see that fort the rest of the show, I gather we may see that tomorrow night on Live Impact, I doubt it they will clean it but last night they didn't.

So anyway, you can read the results by going to The Squared Circle already on my blog, which has more results coming at you tomorrow as TNA and Raw go at it again, and I will have my thoughts again, well maybe it depends if I can catch one of them tomorrow.

People are calling this the worst PPV ever, I disagree, not as a TNA fan, but as a wrestling fan I have seen many bad PPVs with bad matches everywhere which has made the PPV unwatchable and I watched this PPV and I saw many good things, some bad, and then the stupid which made me wonder what the hell was going on.

Firstly you had 2 excellent matches (Ladder MAatch, Ultimate X) 4 fairly ok matches (Angle/Anderson, Daffney/Tara, Hernandez/Morgan/Beer Money Inc, & Williams/Moore) 1 epic dud (Terry/Magnus) 1 dud (Wolfpac/Young/Nash) and an ok match turned into a screw up (Styles/Abyss) put it altogether and you had a decent PPV it was not an excellent PPV it was not a great PPV, but it was far far FAR away from being the worst PPV, this just seems the rantings of people that have no idea.

Not even WCW had the worst, I am sure people are going to say it but the worst PPV was the Legends of Wrestling PPV that was around showing the worst....I mean the best of wrestling's past, if you ever get your hands on it, or have seen it, you should agree that it was so bad it was funny. Jake The Snake Roberts rambling on incoherently stoned, and botched moves galore. Believe me when I say unless TNA signs a whole company of geriatrics and had them wrestle they can never make a PPV worse then that one.

But WWA has tried to outdo them, and XPW has tried as well, XPW may have came very close, but we are not talking about the ECW ripoff here, we are talking about TNA, and this PPV, while it was not an awesome PPV I have not seen either the WWE or TNA in a long while create a PPV that makes me go "Wow that's ****ing awesome man!"

Abyss cut a halfway decent promo a promo that he used to cut when he had made his return to the company as the madman, but this hall of fame ring storyline is getting on my nerves, that's certainly going to Wrestlecrap when the storyline ends. I am sure R.D. Reynolds and co are happy that TNA has managed to help keep them in business with yet another crappy angle.

There is still way too much Hogan, and still too much Bischoff, I am awaiting the return of Russo to the TV, I am sure he will bring back Sports Entertainment Xtreme with him, even though we have no desire to ever see him, or them on the air. I think Flair should be retired as well, and made a Road Agent, he has a lot to offer to TNA but not as a performer, maybe as a mouth piece as well but I think he should be like a General Manager trying to take TNA over and yeah, shaking things up.

No more Dixie, no more Eric, no more Hulk, no more Bubba, just no remove them all and have the company go a better way, and please for the love of god no more Brooke Hogan, every time she is on the air she is annoying more annoying then her father and that is just getting on my nerves. It's like watching Hogan Know's Best and some wrestling breaks out here and there and we see more of his crappy friends roaming around annoying everyone.

Destination X could have been better then it was, it could have been much worse then it was it was still good, it was not groundbreaking it wasn't a change from the normal TNA in a positive way and really if Eric would stop trying concerning himself, and TNA stopped caring what the WWE does, or does not do, we shall be able to move on with life.

On a slight positive I did not hear vintage all night, though I am sure this will change on impact, I hope not.
