- Multiple sources report that Awesome Kong and TNA have officially agreed to part ways. Kong's profile has been removed from the TNA roster page after weeks of talk that she was leaving. Kong had been telling friends that TNA agreed to release her from her deal and she thanked Dixie Carter on Twitter for wishing her the best in her future endeavors.
Kong reportedly asked for a 15% pay increase or a release from her contact and TNA chose to release her. It's said that one of the reasons it took so long for TNA to grant her release is because they wanted to include a lengthy non-compete clause and she was asking for a normal 90 day non-compete. No word yet on the length of the non-compete in her release.
