Mickie talks about release, possible reason she was let go

Mickie James posted the following on Twitter:

“Awe… Thank you James Gang! I just want to say its been a beautiful journey… Wwe has been a childhood dream come true & I have loved every step… There is not a moment I would change for the world… It breaks my heart but the world doesn’t stop turning.. I’m grateful for all my friends, family, loved ones, and fans who have supported me along this wonderful ride. To all the guys and gals I’ve had the pleasure of sharing the ring with… We made some magic! History… Memories to last a lifetime… Thank you… I love you all with all my heart! The release of Mickie James isn't being considered that big of a surprise since WWE hasn't been happy with her for quite some time. Between the company having issues with her weight (the "Piggie James" storyline was allegedly done to send her a message) and her plans to do a country album, the writing seemed to be on the wall.

According to Dave Meltzer, the incident that "broke the camel's back" was when, during the European tour, she arrived late for the bus on more than one occasion, holding up travel

WWE cuts 7 Wrestlers

WWE spring cleaning is underway, and according to PWInsider.com, the following names have been released from WWE today:

Shelton Benjamin (It's possible that his deal is up and they aren't coming to new terms)

Mickie James

Katie Lea Burchill

Kung Fu Naki

Jimmy Wang Yang

Slam Master J

WWE has come to terms on the release of Mike Knox as of today, April 22, 2010. We wish him the best in all future endeavors.

Update on Paul Heyman possibly joining TNA

According to Dave Meltzer, Paul Heyman has reportedly either been directly offered or sent strong hints that he would be welcomed on the TNA creative team. Some officials want Heyman to work alongside Vince Russo. Heyman has given the impression that he has no interest in working for TNA

The Richter Scale: TNA vs WWE

The Monday Night Wars has not yet been a real war yet, TNA has not yet fired a real shot, even though both sides are making their own childish comments about each other, it's more a fight that is being fought not in good television show, no it's a battle on the school yard. But with Vince and Eric battling did we ever think we were going to see some maturity? Of course not. While WWE continues to get good ratings, TNA doesn't and every WWE mark is sitting there laughing, well for wrestling this is not a laughing matter, TNA marks are making their own silly statements, and the real wrestling fan is watching both and picking them apart, and I am going to do the same.

How surprising is it that the only two people on this planet to love the Orlando Jordan angle are Eric Bischoff and Vince Russo? No I am not alluding to them being homosexuals, just they both have moronic ideas. Now Orlando thinks that he can make a difference in the world with his angle, I am sorry Orlando no one likes you as a wrestler and no one in the world takes you seriously, maybe a memo from Warrior will change your mind about this angle

Kurt Angle Taking A Month Off, New TNA Show To Air Monday Nights Before iMPACT!

TNA star Kurt Angle will be taking some time off following his cage match with Ken Anderson at the upcoming Lockdown pay-per-view on April 18 t. Angle wrote on Twitter:

"I will be taking some time off for a month to heal up, pursue more movies and promote Anglefoods at foodiesfoodclub.com. I am NOT injured. At Lockdown I plan on kicking Anderson's *ss, then I'm gonna relax for a few weeks. Be back soon."

Wrestler injured at House Show, Daniels Update, and more

It looks as if Ezekiel Jackson was injured at WWE's live event in Scotland. According to a fan report that was sent to us, he took an odd spill to the floor and was covered as soon as he got back in the ring. He was then helped to the back after the match by Billy Kidman (WWE agent) and others. It looked to be a knee injury.

Christopher Daniels is also now accepting independent bookings as Curry Man after being released from TNA. Daniels will return as Curry at the upcoming Chikara King of Trios tournament in Philadelphia

Some people may have read that Dixie Carter has passed away today, well you are right Dixie Carter has passed away, but not TNA President Dixie Carter, Actress Dixie Carter, 70, who most memorably portrayed Southern interior designer Julia Sugarbaker on the sitcom Designing Women from 1986 to 1993, died Saturday morning. 'Designing Women' star Dixie Carter dies at age 70

As far as we know TNA President Dixie Carter is still alive, we won't be doing clever tricks here to make you think that she has, we just wishes to pass along news that Dixie Carter of TNA is still very much alive

Team Hogan has come in and tried to make TNA better, well I have seen it progressively start to become a new version of World Championship Wrestling, poor storylines, and the X Division starts to suffer, remember the dying days of WCW? When the Cruiserweight Division vanished for a long period of time? Welcome to the new WCW. I stopped and wondered, why? Now Daniels is a fine worker, he could have used a mid card spot, and flourished, but no TNA allows him to depart the company.

TNA has allowed Alissa Flash to depart, Awesome Kong to depart, Roxxi leave, and now we have a Knockouts Tag Team Title with barely any knockouts, how bloody sane is this? No way can you have a Knockouts Division if most of your females have been departing. It's even worse when you bring in females that won't be wrestling

WWE Star Weds? Cade Speaks out and TNA moves an hour forward!

-- Following his World Heavyweight Championship victory, Jack Swagger and his girlfriend, Catalina White, reportedly got married in Las Vegas. He was at a Criss Angel show last Wednesday and introduced during the show with a woman and having just gotten married earlier in the day.

Last night's edition of WWE NXT did a 0.94 cable rating with 1,217,000 viewers on SyFy. The replay of last week's show which aired prior to the new episode, did a 0.45 cable rating with 614,000 viewers

Breaking News: Chris Kanyon found dead

According to prowrestling.net, Chris Kanyon (real name Christopher Klucsartis) was found dead from an apparent suicide on Friday night. Details are still sketchy at this point, but it is believed that he was in New York at the time of his death. A longtime friend reports that a pill bottle and several notes were found close to the body.

Kanyon also worked as the masked Mortis character in WCW and also had a run with WWE during the Invasion period. He made headlines after his WWE run concluded by going public with his homosexuality. He appeared on the Howard Stern radio show several times as a result of his admission. Even though he retired from wresting at one point, he had returned to the ring again recently and had worked a couple of matches this year.

WWE releases Lance Cade

WWE signed Cade last year, and he had made only one appearance at a FCW show since he was brought back into the company, he was released again by the WWE, which was pretty expected as WWE didn't seem to have anything for him. An underrated performer if given the right gimmick, he could be a decent performer for a company.
